Kaberle Traded Before His Bobblehead Night

The Carolina Hurricanes had four bobblehead nights planned for the 2011-12 NHL season:

• November 14th – Jeff Skinner – Left wing for the Hurricanes
• December 3rd – Tuomo Ruutu – Right wing for the Hurricanes
• January 20th – Joni Pitkanen – Defender for the Hurricanes
• March 30th – Tomas Kaberle – Defender for the Hurricanes

The first two bobblehead nights passed without any happenings, as 10,000 bobbleheads were handed out at each game. Only six days after Tuomo Ruutu bobblehead night, the Hurricanes announced that Kaberle had been traded to the Montreal Canadiens for Jaroslav Spacek.

What to do about the bobblehead? It was slyly changed to a Jamie McBain bobblehead night.
